After retiring from the U. S. Army in 2001, he progressively developed his professional career in the clinical research field and quickly advanced to a Senior Clinical Research Associate (CRA).  While working with contract research organizations (CROs) he performed CRA duties in the contiguous United States (CONUS), outside the continental United States (OCONUS), and international locations. 

 

   Mr. Bunn has been responsible for clinical site selection and preparation, study and site management activities, clinical monitoring support, and clinical training support according to GCP, ICH and FDA guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures. 

He holds a B.S. in Health Care Administration from Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC, and is a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).

   

   Mr. Bunn retired from the U. S. Army (1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta) in 2001.  His key awards and decorations include Bronze Star Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (6th Award), Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Star (BSS), Noncommissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon with Number 3, Army Service Award, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal (K), Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge.  His primary specialty was Medical Specialist and Practical Nurse.    

 

   Mr. Bunn and his wife, Sherrel, live in Wilmington, North Carolina.  They have two daughters, Jill (and Will) and Melissa, son Jason, and granddaughter Sydney.
